I'm building a 412 cab and wiring it for switchable mono/stereo with a DPDT switch and mono jacks- here's my schematic...I am following one I got off of Shavano music online (which is also posted) the only difference is I'm wiring mine to be parallel- so how does it look to you guys who might know?

This will work. I'd wire it differently though so that the R socket will go to ground when the switch is in Mono mode.

Also, you don't *need* to switch the grounds but there can be some benefit to this I admit.

thanks donnyjaguar, how would I do that?...will it make the electronics more stable (so I don't blow up amp or speakers)?

the cab is loaded with (4) 8 ohm speakers...I want the cab to run 8 ohm mono and 4 ohm stereo...again speakers are wired in parallel-

first time I've done this so any info/help is appreciated- thanks!

With 4-8ohm spkrs wired all in parallel you'll have a 2 ohm load in mono and 4 ohms for each pair in stereo. If you wire each pair in series you'd have 8 ohms mono and 16 ohms in stereo for each pair.

I owe you a schematic don't I? Okay, I'll upload when I get a chance. Just have to find somewhere to put the thing on the web.
