Isolation cabinets and EQ placement

I've recently built and isolation cabinet. It worked out pretty well, but it doesn't sound quite as good as recording a normal cab.

I'm thinking I should do some tweaking with a decent EQ but I'm not sure where it would be best to put the EQ. Before the amp with something like a Boss GE7 or after the mic with EQ built into a decent mixing board. Right now I've got an El Cheapo 4 Channel Behringer mixing board with a british EQ.

Suggestions?

got any pictures of the iso-cab?

No, but I'll take some and post them. Basically I ripped off the design I've seen on some other iso-cabs. I built the whole thing with multiple layers of 3/4 MDF. It weighs a freakin ton.

Still I think it cost < $100 for everything (not including the mic of course) and it's not like I need to move it everyday.

Like I said it actually works a lot better than I thought it would but I'm finding that the low end suffers a bit thus the EQ question.

Here you go. First photo is the whole box with the amp head on top so you can get a feel for the size of the thing. The second photo is with the top removed you can see the main piece of foam shoved in there. The third photo is just the inside of the thing and the fourth photo is the lid crammed with some more foam that I had lying around. There really isn't much too it.

It's a pretty blatant rip off of some of the iso cab designs that are out there.
