Just a matter of time methinks when Gibson will have their equivalent to “it’s a pre-CBS Fender”. I wonder if production will cease for a while. I think it will.
Yeah, but when they fail, you just tune manually. It's actually what I do now most of the time. Overkill for a tuning system when you only use standard like I do, but you can just pretend it doesn't exist.are going to fail eventually
Gibson had their equivalent a long time ago when Ted McCarty's leadership ended and a couple of years later when Norlin bought the company. Like Fender, their "golden era" ended in the mid '60s.Just a matter of time methinks when Gibson will have their equivalent to “it’s a pre-CBS Fender”.
"Just what they need"....is Henry J GONE! That is ....."Just what they need"! And Gibsons creditors may just do exactly that! Until that happens.....nothing will change! Like Forrest Gump's mom used to say..."You can't fix stupid"! LOL!I know. I’m getting tired of this topic too but I wanted to approach it from a pragmatic angle. A changeover will take time and what happens during that time can make or break the Gibson brand. A pause to get things right might be just what they need.
