    I don't understand how/why you could possibly think shipping an amp without a box is a good idea.

    Maybe not an amp, but I once was shipped a fender strat in the plastic molded case with only saran wrap around it.

    PO told me that was a good idea, since it was insured and they knew exactly what it was, and therefore took good care of it.

    Dollars to donuts...the next buyer will receive it in box ...damaged.

    The guy has only 5 feedback reports on the bay and could not maintain 100% positive

    A friend of mine purchased a Peavey Databass amp on ebay a few years ago. The seller shipped him the amp with only a label on it, no box! I don't remember the outcome of the claim.
