Ask Eddie Phillips of The Creation, one of my guitar heroes. He's the guy who invented violin-bowed guitar playing, something Jimmy Page, the thief, stole frm him.
Go back and watch the video of "Making Time" on YouTube and see for yourself.
i recently played w/sarah in nyc (along w/grey mcmurray, caleb burhans, larry campbell, jeff parker & mike gordon);
i def enjoyed her playing & approach.
Damn. I need to pay more attention to your gig postings.
I last saw Noveller (Sarah) opening for Carla Bozulich here in DC.
i don't post my gigs here, anymore.....
i stopped doing it, sometime last summer.
maybe it was a bad idea, but, frankly,
there've been very, very few(-to-none) TGP attendees, so.
this was "the apollo project", at the WFF in NYC;
there was a full house --- about 2000 in the audience --- including one TGP'er, a friend of mine.
I was planning to drive up to Columbus OH during the last Prezens tour - it was a Saturday, but then my parents decided to visit me or something like that. Where do you post your gigs now? I checked the davidtorn.net site and the last gig dates were in 2008.
i post almost everything on my facebook page;
the newest trio, "sun of goldfinger" --- which's getting better & better! ---
just returned from a truly great series of gigs in brasil.
we're playing live on feb 11th, but as a quartet --- adding david king (drums+ / fr. "the bad plus"), @ the bearsville theater 12409.
our last performance of the band until april.
Thanks!!! I have a roof repair job scheduled that day but will try to drive up if they're done by 230pm (Google Maps says it will take me 6.5 hrs to get there by car). Otherwise, I'll look for the April date.
