I've got pedal hiss

I recently added a ProCo Rat2 pedal to my small beginner board. Here is my signal chain: Rat, Boss TE-2, Boss DD-7, TC Electronic ditto looper. Ever since I added the Rat, I've had this nasty 'hiss' sound coming from my amp. I know the Rat was going to be a noisy pedal but man, it annoys the crap out of me. Anyone else encounter this problem with the Rat or any other setup? If so, how can I get rid of it? thanks

may be the power supply. also try each individual pedal and see which one is causing the hiss

does it happen when the rat is the only pedal in the chain, or is it only when all of the pedals are plugged in? If it happens in isolation, it's just the noise of the rat...if it only happens when everything is plugged in, it's likely the power supply (something isolated would help).

Generally I thought it's not a good idea to run digital pedals and dirt pedals with the same power supply unless it has isolated outputs. Try what Kp8 said and run the Rat with a battery.
