    Man, how old was JB in that clip? Ricky N. was what, 16, 17 ?

    Ozzie actually moved James into the Nelson house so he could ensure that he would be available for Rickys recordings...he was becoming quite popular and sought out as a studio player.

    Guy was the bomb...

    Keef once said, I didn't buy Ricky Nelson records, I bought James Burton records...:)

    Ricky had a fancy Rickenbacker acoustic too...I think it is now the Rickenbacker museum.

    JB was probably around 17 or 18. He played on Suzie Q when he was 17 then went to work for Ricky in 1957 (he was born in 1939 and was about 8 months older than Ricky)...

    I remember that episode...Ricky was supposed to be studying for an upcoming test and he and JB ended up jamming the evening away...

    First song in that clip was Trambone...a hit for Chet Atkins.
