Hey you as well. Really appreciate it!
Woke up to find some backing tracks. I chose the one that goes to Ab. I like the groove in the other one better, but whatever. Here's my first take on it. And, I included some worn out Ford like diminished $ hit in there just for @Tag!
FYI - the strummy rhythm guitar is part of the backing track, not me. I just dragged it into garage band, plugged in and recorded my crap over it. Probably not how I'd play it given some rehearsal time. But, whatever...
Nice job! Good feel and taste!....and um...thanks for the diminished licks.
Damn nice GJ,
Man. That was SOME Struttin’, through the Stratus-spere, to Who Knows and Sesame Street, and Struttin' back home to NOLA. Now THAT's a gumbo.
These are awesome.
Dig the Stratus quote amongst others in Mr. Jazz's.
Killer. Loved it! What was that cartoon like melody at the end?? Only have my phone and its really hard to hear. Can't wait to listen on my computer when I get home! Great playing!
Adding....But where was the wah??
Thanks everybody for listening and the kind words.
This was from a mid-day gig where some folks were sitting around having lunch and other people were just passing through. I'm sure a family with a young'un had stopped to listen, thus Sesame Street. You gotta play the hits.
Love! Funky chicken.
I love the threads where everyone posts clips.
Educational for a dude like me.
And me, and everyone.
Unless someone totally sucks (which is rare) or is an absolute beginner, I learn (and steal) from everybody. I know I feel REALLY good when I help someone improve in the slightest way, and I feel just as good if not better when someone helps me. Thats why (or should be) why we are all here! The absolute most fun I ever have playing guitar, is learning something new, getting it into the memory banks, and then have it come out on its own. That can take quite a while sometimes! Its always the most fun listening to and playing with people who are as good or much better than yourself!!!!
Lots of quotes in there! Even some of the rhythmic chord stabs sounded incredibly familiar ... and there of course were the more obvious ones like WR/jaco ...
Love it! Great job. But I missed the chorus effect that gj used ...
Too bad it's hidden in this thread.
