An old take on my John Scofield guitar into the Cowtipper. I actually like some of the stuff I played for once. Strange because I hated it at the time. (last year or so) :) My take is the top clip here...

The backing track is the second clip down. I would love to hear some other guys play on it as well so I can steal some ideas. :D

My fave of the clips you've posted.
Very much showing your own voice over your influences.
Tone was also your own thing.
    Nice work!

Now I'm only listening on computer speakers, but I did find the guitar loud in relation to the backing track. Just me?

Very nice, sounded really laidback and relaxed. Dug the tone as well. Good stuff!

Gotta agree with rwe333, you are coming into your own.

Must be all that woodshedding paying off.

Took my new guitar for a test drive over this backing. I warn you though: I lose all finger coordination once I turn on the overdrive :(... the slop-a-thon can be heard here:

Hey thanks for the encouraging words and for taking the time to listen! Really nice takes from both you guys, and plenty for me to steal! :) Ivers, do another take clean! Nice lines in there!

I would love to hear more guys on this as well. Please anyone feel free to jam and post it! Rockers, jazzers, its a good backing for everyone. Just a blues in G.

Hey Lance, this was from over a year ago before I totally screwed my playing up. Lol! Ill try and do a new take in the next few days. I would love to hear you do a take as well. Fire up that Tipper and Houla and let it go!

    Hey Wayne!
I mixed this on my monitors, and it sounds like a pretty good level over here. My computer speakers have so much bass, thats all I am hearing now though. Come on, do a few takes on this! Im going to post a few other backings soon. All Abersold stuff. Thanks for listening!

Thanks, Tag, appreciate! Yeah, I did a clean take as well, but, man, I'm glad I'm going to a one week jazz seminar soon, because I feel like I'm all out of ideas! Playing with other people and getting guidance from great musicians who teach there should hopefully be the boost I need.

I took a shot at this backing to see if I could figure out how to record my darn Flexi. I'm not really a blues player though (which I'm sure you'll be able to tell real soon ;) ). After listening to my crap clip am going to start woodshedding and start working on blues for the rest of the year. I have to get more consistent (and play blues a lot):

    Slow Flexi

Great stuff by all of you!

You all are really good jazz/blues players!

I have no idea how to play like that, but whether you all realize it or not, there are definitely common phrases that I'm going to try to incorporate into my playing.

    Awesome!!
