    For all jazzmaster players...

How important is the trem lock feature? have you ever used it? how often?

How many of you have installed a buzz stop? did it improve, degrade or have no effect on tone?

    Thanks!

The trem lock just keeps the guitar from going out of tune if you break a string.

....and, when engaged, it prevents pulling up on the bar, if you're inclined to be like Ike.

I know what it does, my question was whether anyone has needed to use it.

I don't break strings so I guess the answer is 'no' I don't need it. I also don't pull up on the wammy bar much.
