In the first image released from the Jem & The Holograms live-action film, Jem is playing a Gibson Zakk Wylde Moderne of Doom. This made me chuckle.

With the stripes and the futuristic shape, I'm going with the fictitious formerly-cartoon character.

I'm surprised the producers of the movie didn't have Jem playing an Ibanez Jem, especially since the wild color schemes some of them came with would look right at home with her.

oh God. Why are they making this movie?

As a child of the 80s I can safely say a live-action Jem should not exist. Giving her that monstrous thing to play, not to mention the left-handed LP and a keytar (!), just makes it even worse.

Nostalgia is fine. Dragging crap like Jem and the Holograms out of the vault is just a terrible idea all around though.

That guitar is obviously blue with black stripes, not white with gold stripes.

Wait, is this not the knitting circle? Carry on.

They are making a movie out of that show? Well hell. I thought she had like a star-shaped guitar or something?

Oh, and Stephanie Scott tarted up as an '80s glam rocker does nothing for me.
    Nope.
