Only if he figures out a way to argue with, and insult, himself.
I come here for the gear insight. I stay for the slapfights.

It all started way back when with the Trio+ pedal. Leo Fender heard those haunting mids in the crystal lettuce and warmed up his soldering iron. The rest is history.

Insert typical outrage TGP comment about Josh being a thief and terrible person.

(I like JHS and this was another great video, very informative.)

I’ve got the Black Box 2, incredible pedal. With internal switches it can be set to be an exact copy of the original Bluesbreaker, or set with the newer mods on it, more gain, volume, and presence control. Love it. I want to buy a white one also, it looks too cool!

They have. Only, people don't seem to care much for them .

Is the “exact copy” the Classic low gain mode?

Yes, and that bypasses the boost and presence knobs I believe

So, are you guys saying it’s just a conspiracy theory, or that there’s actually a conspiracy?

Bypasses the Boost, but Presence stays active. Thanks.

Similar...but with more mids and a litlle more fizzy
I use to have both to compare and I kept the original MK1, the Guv'nor and the Drivemaster as well (whole family)
Now, I find the Snouse Blackbox exactly like my old box but with more options, and much more volume to dial

I like how he dives into the history of various pedals & you get to see how everybody has been stealing/copying ideas from everybody else since the dawn of time.

Josh seems like a very creative and highly intelligent person with savvy business sense. I’m jealous.

That's how I run mine. Though it would be nice if the boost had a switch.

He mentions it and lays one down at 6:05 after he shows the Morning Glory and Wampler’s Pantheon.

I have the Snouse Blueline, which Joshua made prior to the Black Box, and I much prefer it. More expensive, but it has a lot of options including a tone control at each stage, clipping options (Ge, Si, and LED), and a boost switch with separate volume control.

“Sold Out” on the Snouse store, but you can still have him make you one by special request.

I love Josh's videos. He knows what he's talking about and goes into deep knowledge dropping in an engaging way. His playing is solid and shows off the gear well (style modified to the pedal he's demoing) and the positive attitude (99% of the time he is gushing intelligently about something he thinks is great for some reason or other) is hugely likeable in my book.

What's the deal with that JHS amp he uses? Is that a one off amp he built?

I think it's just a Bassman clone he built for himself.

I’m not sure where I heard (maybe a QA video?) this but I think it’s a 40 watt built for him by Tim Marcus of Milkman Amps

I love the Morning Glory side on my Double Barrel v4. That with the red remote covers just about everything I can think of needing an overdrive for, other than ‘that sound’ a TS gives (which is what the other half of that double barrel is for)
