    WOW !! i dont know what channel you guys get it, but im on 87 in vancouver.
    incredible! ive seen this before, and each time i cant believe the tones he gets.
    just unreal.
    such a killer player. and what a voice!

    It really was an uneven proformance. It is however very well recorded for the time.

    Jimi's concerts were much better early on and/or with the Experience.
    Good footage of his Filmore preformance(band of gypsies) would have been nice

    Jimi's best ever, with editing. The modulating jam, not in the movie, was some of his less impactful stuff, IMO.

    It might be uneven, but there're some absolute peaks to modern rock music in this performance.

    Thanks! I always loved this performance. To me it some of Jimi's finest playing. It really blends raw agression with some very delicate intricate playing. The show starts off a bit loose but when Jimi hits stride it's wow. Eddie Kramer said it best when he said Jimi didn't really need the extra musicians...but whatever.

    I guess my point was....it was a too small a peak at what was way under documented in general(his whole carrer)

    was just looking at the dvd on sale in hillsboro best-buy tonight ...

    is it still on ?
    im searching channels but cant find it .

    Just finished! sorry. maybe not the greatest performance, but hey! have you every tried to play on a huge stage , in the morning, to a battlefield , in front of the remaining hippies at woodstock....ON ACID??? LOL

    that kind of person should stay home and polish there les paul burst ....

    as an aside :
    i didnt buy the woodstock dvd .
    i got the making of darkside of the moon , $9 i think .
    and rattle and hum $4 i think .

    some cheap dvds there , but you have to rummage through the justin beiber and beyonce dvds to find them . :)
