Has anyone tried there 56's on a rosewood slab fingerboard ?If so,what was the outcome?
i have them in my 54 jap strat. id call them a warm vintage sound, not icepicky
I just got the '61s put in an ash body/maple neck/rosewood fretboard. They're smooth but with character (not dull) and the 5 settings sound very different from each other. The guitar sounds lively & woody. I'd recommend talking to Jim to determine which year to get - plus he's great fun to talk to.
Also, I used a wiring harness from George Alessandro.
Yes. It will sound exactly like an early 60's Strat.
