    Hey Mikem,

Thanks for taking the time to check this out. Unfortunately, I'm at work right now and can't download your file. I'll check it out when I get home tonight. I hope you had fun playing on it!

Thank you. I'm not too sure that John is overwhelmed by it- lol. He hasn't replied since he said he would listen to it yesterday. Oh well, perhaps something came up.

    Mike,

Sorry to be lame, but for the last 2 days I've been dealing with the flu while trying to do mucho work at school and with the band...very bad combination indeed. I need a stunt double!

I enjoyed your approach to that solo bed and thought it had a ton of energy, unlike me at the moment...

Thanks again for playing with it. I hope others may too!

Thanks, John. This was a blast to play over. I listened to the full tune on your web site and thought that your tone and restraint over the same solo bed was quite impressive. Mine kinda sounds like diarrhea of the fingers-lol.

Thanks for listening to my 2 passes over it, and thanks again for choosing this to play on as it not very rhythmically stable. I find it fun these days to create rhythmic jungle-gyms to solo over that have less-complex harmony. This is definitely the case here with this tune's solo section. It's like trying to use a spirograph on a bucking bronco!

Yeah, it was challenging rhythmically. However, there was a groove there. it's cool to have to figure out where the groove is and phrase it accordingly. I'm not sure I navigated it so successfully, but it was a lot of fun. I will definitely watch your band site for new stuff. I really enjoyed it.

Cool approach to the song, Mike. You were rippin' it! Yeah, Fig's no slouch either, but I could definately see you guys jammin' together.

Thanks, Normster. I'll have to check out Fig's take when I get off work- this machine doesn't have a soundcard.

Thanks a lot, Tag. Coming from you, it means a lot. As for the direct linking doohickey, go into your band admin section, look for "Linking Tool" near the top, hit the button, choose song, highlight the link of your choice, use the copy and paste function of your browser to paste the link to your GP post and you're good to go!
