I'm not all that thrilled with my OTS cleans just yet. Admittedly there coming along with a switch to an EV12L but I was hoping for something better. I have all JJ's in the preamp at this point. There good mind you, but I want better.

OTS OD tone with a D'lator in the loop is pretty freaking good. :)

So if I spent 15K for that TR JM sig the cleans better knock me out.

I've surely overpaid for amps in my day and would jones for this one, but $15k is a bit high.

Either buy a real Dumble or Ceriatone and call it a day.

Take your pick as everything else is moot.

    aren't these 10k from TR?

from what i've read you can get this tone from a Classic Reverb, why waste the extra cash for a signature edition no one is gonna care about in a few years

It was $8,500 new for the JM Sig, so a sweet 76% return this guy is seeking. And I can attest that the Classic Reverb is awesome and can't imagine how much incremental difference the JM Sig would be...yet I still want one. Sick, I know.

I played the Classic Reverb, loved it. But it was more than I wanted to spend.

For my purposes, I didn't find the cleans any better than a Cowtipper (not an insult, they were equal, IMO), so I'd be paying $2500 extra for the OD side of it (which was also very nice, but not really my thing - well, not something I 'needed').

If you want the Mayer, but can't afford it, I'd think the Classic Reverb would be the ticket.

Not exactly marketing genius, if I say so myself. "I bought this as an investment, and now I'm ready to unload"........BAD timing (season wise- and recession/economy wise) and for twice the price of admission. Funny thing is you can buy an amp from TR that does pretty much all this does without the Mayer signature, for about half the price......but hey, more power to him! If he sells it, then good for him.

    agree with this^^^

Besides i would rather get a custom amp from two rock for about 30% less. I've been thinking about the Mayer Sig with 6550 tubes so it will react better with fuzz.
