He's smart, good vocabulary, witty, etc, etc, as well, a seasoned live performer. If he doesn't try too hard, he'll do very well/be received well. So well, TV/Movies will likely be in his future. It's part of his master plan....IMO.

I thought his show on VH1 from a few years back was hilarious. He really did use to walk around before his shows in the bear suit. I just wish he write another damn continuum already. B&R was not a good effort in my book.

Yeah that one episode he did was hilarious!

I actually think Born and Raised is the best he's made next to Continuum.

Someone from work mentioned it on Friday,
    I almost didn't believe her.
    I'll be a nice change I'll bet.

I don't care for the guy but the quality of the fill in hosts has been dreadful. I almost watch it just to see how bad they are. It reminds you how brilliant Craig was working without a net over the years. Honestly I think Mayer might do ok, In fact he may look brilliant compared to what was on. I figure as a musician he might be more attuned to seeing an idea and following it vs most celebs n comics who have it all mapped out beforehand. he might pull more interesting guests and if they stay in his comfort zone he might have a 2nd career.

He has diarrhea of the mouth- should be an interesting train wreck. Seriously- like no filter when I have seen him on talk shows.

JM + Jim Carrey could be interesting. Honestly, I would much rather watch the episode with Whitney Cummings and the 2 Broke Girls actresses.

Well, if it's some weird celebrity bro-down it will probably bore me to death. I would much rather see these hosts interview people they don't know instead of their buddies.

While I thought she looked smoking in the promos for her old sitcom, She was awful as a host, I decided to vacuum instead. So beauty only goes so far.

Craig Ferguson is gone, so nobody is "filling in" for him....they're just placekeepers until the new host takes over. That said, every show I've seen has been better than anything CF ever did imo. I thought Drew Carey was a natural. I don't care for the no-audience format tho.....
