    Wow.

Loved the nod to DiMeola starting at 6:17.

I liked LTE but one of my favorites is Bombay Vindaloo from Dream Theater. John just kills it! He will always be one of my favorite guitarist but I preferred his playing back in the Images and Words through Scenes of a Memory, with I&W and Awake being the best!

I have heard some really nice LTE stuff.... This I did not care for though. Really said nothing to me.

    Tony was grooving though!

i was wondering the same thing, so many complex songs with many tempo changes. Very cool video, i didn't know he used a 7-string for this song.

I liked his tone better than his playing to be honest....I've tried, but I just can't get into DT.

He looks more and more like Glenn Danzig every year ;) Great guitar player though.

    Great jammin groove.
I hate just listening to stuff like that, because it makes me wish I was in on the jam with them.

I have both and agree. Also have a number of DT cd's and wish Kevin Moore never left. Images and Words is a benchmark for melodic metal prog. IMHO.

I'm not normally a fan of shreddy stuff, but I gotta admit.......that was pretty badass.

I dig JP but Portnoy is where I find myself concentrating most. Levin is just sick too!!!
