Did anyone see this? Keanu was actually pretty cool in this movie. Some awesome fight scenes with a lot of that Gun Fu type stuff. The styling and music of it was a little out there too. I thought it was pretty well done.

    Anyone else?

Gotta be one of Keanu's worst flicks. Had to turn it off when things got overly predictable. And Keanu was playing a bad ass but behaved and acted to the contrary. Except the fight scenes

One of Keanu's best movies. I've recommended it to many people who never heard of it, yet said they enjoyed it. I could have done without the dog scene.

I thought the movie made pretty clear to everyone that Keanu was a retired "badass". Got house and wife. He changed.
I also think that he acted like a badass quite often in that movie. But maybe we have different opinions about how a badass behaves.

That being said apart from the action scenes the movie had not much to offer. The movie was very predictable and has been done a 1000 times already.

I liked it. Saw it in the theater and didn't think I wasted my money.

I actually saw it twice in the Theatre ... really liked the move , non stop action ... some cool martial arts

Then again, I'm not the biggest critique of movies

More of a "That was Bad Ass, non stop action ... wonder what the body count was " ...

If that aint your thing ... guess it could be a long evening

Watched it, found it entertaining enough but pretty lame as well. For example, at the beginning he gets taken down really easily by three or four punks who then, to add insult to injury kill his puppy. Then it is revealed that he isn't just a top grade hit man/assassin but in fact he is virtually unbeatable in any situation and the rest of the movie goes on to prove it. My question to myself then was, how did those punks at the beginning manage to take him. Spoiled for me what could have been a pretty good action/anti hero type film.

Pretty good movie. They did a fair job of making it somewhat believable up until the scene where the Mob boss had him knocked unconscious and tied to a chair. No way he waits for the guy to wake up so he can have a chat and then walks out of the room. They would have simply killed him.

He thought he was out of the game and had gotten lazy, let his guard down. It happens to the best of us.

It's the Bond Villain Stupidity. :D

Part of the reason why the action scenes were so good is that the director was a former stuntman and stunt coordinator.

Watched it expecting the typical unwatchable Keanu POS & ended up watching it through to the end .... so I guess it was ok from my perspective.

Maybe happens to your Special Forces, but never happens to the SAS. [IMG]

    John Wick was badass.
if you didn't enjoy the movie, you don't enjoy the genre.

My girlfriend and I watched it two nights ago... She is a big KR fan. We both felt it was about 20 minutes too long but otherwise entertaining.
