Mesa Boogie Cab Clone in use here with the new Marshall JTM handwired amps. Johnny A. sounds quite good in my opinion.

    You?

Nope. He is going direct with the Mesa Cab Clone. He is all in on the Mesa. He is actually playing a private show for the Mesa crew come March. Don't believe me? Check out his website.

I had a beautiful HOG top model. Not flat tops. I miss that guitar.

I never knew who Johnny A. was until I saw this video being touted by Mesa. Amazing player.

You know what's more amazing? The aspects of his rig that are so anti TGP and the like. The CabClone sounds great. More so, the use of the TC G-System as well.

I'm very impressed with his "impure" tone.

Nothing anti TGP about his rig. Johnny A signature Gibson Custom Shop guitar, built to spec, 4500.00 ,hand wired JTM45.3000.00..............

Johnny A always gets great tone. What amazes me is that he doesn't play a Tele.

Very unTGPlike, actually -- to take all that pure tone and run it through impurities like the CabClone and the tone-sucking G-System.

    That was awesome IMO.
I dig JA and what he does.
Met him at a Dallas show and he was very cool and dug talking technique and gear.

    EDIT:
BTW, I spy a curly cord the other guitar player is using. Hmm.... That LP looks like Lucy.

Johnny A has been running direct live for years, and always sounding amazing live.
Especially from his 6100 series Marshalls.

Regardless of the artist relationship thing,he is such a discriminating gear head. Its cool to see him behind such a product. He uses and gets so many great and different tones live.

He always sounds like Johnny A.
