I'm reminded of a video... Re: cost of owning expensive things.
The Rolling Stone article is actually really good (I know, right?).
Even after all the outlining of his wayward spending, it doesn’t even attempt to estimate his drug bill.
He has signed the epitaph on his career.
That is amazing. I’ve seen in interviews where he says this. Financially brilliant.
Maybe I don’t understand your post. Shouldn’t rich people be able to buy expensive things?
Yes they should. That $200mm or so, what Depp is reported to have dropped in the last two years alone, could have been related to guitar buying is just absurd, that's all.
When my wife asks, I understate the value…
I imagine his art collection is much more expensive than his instruments.
Alice Cooper has been sober for like 40 years.
That's sort of what annoyed me about the article. They put it at no. 2 in the list and made out like his crazy guitar buying is a major contributory cause (making me feel slightly uncomfortable ) when in reality it should have probably been last on the list.
The auction will be awesome.
Exactly, he’s already been through all this. Maybe he can help.
Johnny also spent tons of money on real estate and art work, and he owns lots of Echopark Guitars.
Spend all his money on guitars?
Well, at least he didn't waste it.
I found it disjointed and hard to follow. But it did try to get to the bottom of it all. I'd give it a C+, but that is so much better than most anything else in those type of rags.
I just hope she doesn't sell my stuff for what I told her I paid for it...
He only owns 70 at the moment. I only own 3 bass guitars right now, but I've literally spent thousands getting different ones for the past 5 years.
They're probably not including the amplifiers & studio equipment.
He's probably got a in-house studio like his pal Joe Perry.
He has his own model Duce.
is this one of his?
Maybe J.D. should take a budgeting class
Just think anyone of us could have gotten our start on Elm street and had the same problem.
