just picked up the JHB-LOUD AND PROUD from itunes.

amazing player, amazing tone.(lil EVH brown sound in there)

i'm not even a country fan, which i thought he solely was.

i was just lookin for somethin new to listen to and after hearing andy wood's cd,i wanted some chickin pickin type stuff instead of the usual shreddy stuff i always listen to.

am not dissapointed.take the time and check his music out.

I just stumbled upon him a few months ago too. He uses Peavey Valveking's for both his clean and driven tones. I only mention this because I happen to have owned one for a while. Not sure why I sold it. If you dig his tone you can pick one up for around $300 used.

    Great amp.

Saw him in Nashville in 2002 playng with the Don Kelly Band at Roberts Western World just before he went out on his own. Just an amazing show that I'll always remember. Talked to him a bit after the show ans he was just the nicest guy.
The house was packed with other guitarists watching him , Keith Urban, Kenny Vaughn, to name a couple.

Truly an amazing guitarist and keeps getting better,I too caught him at Roberts and he had just replaced another guitarist, some guy named Red,ha ha,it seems Don Kelly finds these guitarist, nurture's them for a couple of years and turn's them loose, nice gig.........

Yep, Johnny replaced Redd Volakaert, a hell of a player too. Don Kelly seems to find real diamonds over there. I think JD Simo is playing with Don's band now. He smokes too.

Johnny is in the studio recording an all country CD. It's nice to see him going back to his roots.
