Never thought I'd see it, but Johnny Winter, who usually sits down because of a bad hip and health problems, is standing up during a live performance!

I hope he's around and playin' his ass off for a long, long time. As much as I love his electric playin' I would love to hear him do a CD playin' his National. I think he's as good as anyone I've ever heard playin' that kinda stuff.

I don't know, it makes me feel sad and old. Reminded me of Mickey Mantle trying to run out a ground ball his last year. I have been a major fan since Johnny Winter And (not the And Live)

And I was not happy with the hotshot on the strat either.

The guitar stolen early this year was the white Erlewine with a humbucker (that could be split) in the bridge and single coil in the front. JW may have been playing that one for 20 or so years. It has not been recovered. He's currently playing the nearly identical black one.

As sad as the theft was, at least his Firebird that he plays slide on was not stolen. That guitar dates back to 1970 for Johnny. It's also the one that was replicated in the Gibson Firebird Johnny Winter Signature series from 2008.

Good to see Johnny standin' and playin' Dude's been through a lot.

One of my early idols. I Remember teaching myself the original studio version of Mean Town Blues as one of the first songs i learned on guitar.
