I was watching some TV tonight and happened to see The Gear Page's own Josh Smith in support of Raphael Saadiq on "Live from the Artist's Den" on PBS. Cool show, it was the first time I'd ever seen it.

Link to some video from the episode.

Sho' nuff is. Evidently if you see it up close and personal you'd think it was a bad "relic", but it's all honest (and brutal) road wear.

Cool to see him doing the dance too!

Raphael Saadiq has been around for quite a while. Some of you may remember the R&B trio from the early 90's named Tony!, Toni!, Tone'! He was the lead singer in that group.

His most recent effort, "The Way I See It" is nothing short of a Sam Cooke revival. If you like 60's and early 70's sould it's a must have. It was actually nominated for the Grammy for R&B album of the year.

That Chapin is too cool. I wish I could have seen which amps he was using. The camera man was obviously not a gearhead. Mad Professor and Bludo perhaps? Or was he using his Fargen? Whatever he was using he sounded awesome.

I think the entire show is going to be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble.

Hey Josh, nice suit by the way.
