Joyo at YooSmart: you've been warned!

Hi,

More than 2 months ago I bought a Joyo compressor at YooSmart (yoosmart.com). I received it and it was defective. I tried to contact YooSmart several times by email or from their site but got no reply at all. I called them but they give a wrong number on their website (+46 765830141).

More than a month ago I finally sent the compressor back for a replacement (I only had 15 days to do so according to their policy). And nothing came back! I paid a Joyo compressor and I have NOTHING!

They simply cannot be contacted! I am now ready to start a legal procedure against them, not for the money I lost but for the principle.

I advise you not to shop on this site.

Cheers

@itkindaworks, yes that can be true but YooSmart must remain honest with its customers.

@dasher, yes but YooSmart is in Europe (Sweden) and I am in the legal business.

Actually, the pedal quality is pretty damn good.........usually.........

yeah i know that they are chinese made and so will likely have some kind of flaw on the odd unit, but the pedals are generally great. they all have good construction, pretty tidy inside, and great sound for the price. of course we would all like Keeley and whatever, but for the price they are epic clones. And because they are such close clones, they are way easy to mod too.

i wouldn't knock them until you have a good view of them.

also, just buy them off ebay. it is usually cheaper, and PayPal will keep you safe.

well, that is just my 2 cents :)

^^^

Of course they're well made. The Chinese companies are the best at copying and reproducing other people's stuff illegally.

I don't think the Joyo compressor is illegal but what YooSmart is doing to me is illegal.

The money you save buying cheap isn't always worth it.
From my point of view this is the important principal in play here. You can choose to buy cheap and take the risk or not, but right or wrong you might not have control over whether you'll get your money back.

all Apple products are made in China.

made in China can be as good or as bad as they want it to be. just like anything else, it depends more on the company than the country of origin.

as far as getting ripped off is concerned, with all the protections available through PayPal, credit cards, etc., I'm not sure I could get into your predicament if I tried...unless I sent cash through the mail, that is.

hope it works out for you. $30 is a cheap lesson, IMO
