What singles are in it, and has anyone analyzed the Secret Landau Pickup?

Congrats! How do you like it? I've got a couple of SE's, not sure what pups are loaded in the Landau though. I'd guess Tyler JTV or 2500 singles and a JB Trembucker.

I'm loving it! I've had a burning water and a retro, but this is the ultimate is playability, tone, and looks for me. Truly classic...

Depends if it's a brand new one or not. The older ones had Suhr V60LPs as single coils, I think the new one has the Tyler 2500 pickups. The Landau Secret Humbucker, I'm curious abot myself. I remember reading somewhere it is a less hotter JB which also makes it sound more open but I'm not sure if my memory is correct.

    Congrats on the guitar!

Mine supposedly has Dimarzio Virtual vintage in it but I've never lifted pickguard to check. I love the sound of the guitar so doesn' really matter what make of pups are in there. A friend has one with Suhr v60lp and a Trembucker but I still prefer mine to his. The Suhr are too neutral for my tastes.

I would suggest that you lift the pickguard to check what pups are there.

The one I owned had Duncan Classic Stacks in the neck and middle and a Trembucker in the lead. Truly an incredible guitar.

I didn't like the stock pickup combo in mine so I did a bit of experimenting. I ended up with a Lollar Special in the neck, V60LP in the middle, and Suhr DSV at the bridge.

The overwound Lollar single coil in the neck matches up real nice with the bucker.

Tyler used Suhr pickups (and Duncans & Dimarzio's and pickups parts from Tom Anderson) before he started winding his own, he no longer uses Suhr pickups as his handwound units have filled that niche.

Suhr came out with the FL pickups after Jim started winding, so it is highly unlikely that they were installed as standard equipment in any Tyler. Of course, Jim will put whatever pickup ion there you like, so it's possible if it was a custome order, just not likely.
