Ever had one of those pedals that you sell and instantly miss/regret?

I sold my EP booster about a year ago and regretted it all year. I finally just bought another one yesterday cause I missed it so badly (especially after playing it on my friend's board).

I look forward to having it back on my board. One of those pedals that gives you that little extra...I'm excited to say the least :D

What is this 'white one' of which you speak? Never seen anything but black.

Yea, I had an EP Booster. It was a v1 and the volume boost was a little too much for me. Now I'm doing a trade here for a v2 to try that. Otherwise, I like the concept of a tiny, tone enhancing, clean boost like the EP Booster. So hoping it works out with the v2, I think it will.

It was actually a great way to justify the third one. :D

So, did you keep the white one or sell it? I would definitely have suffered remorse for selling a ltd. edition pedal.

I just got a white one myself from Wildwood Guitars. They had a 1/2 dozen or so of them.

I use my V1 EP-Booster all the time. I actually like a little boost and keep the dial between 8 and 9:00 o'clock.

Yeah, I had one and got rid of it and then did regret it. So, I bought another one. The funny thing was that I had changed amps by that point and it no longer cooperated w/ my rig as it had before. I have been happy w/ my SHO lately, in fact, so much so that I am thinking of getting a Super 2 in 1. I may very well pick up another Ep Booster at some point, especially since it has been tweaked to achieve unity gain these days.

Question: I had the v1, so do you set the v2 to unity gain by setting the knob all the way to the left?

There is a dip switch inside.
If you set it for unity gain, turning the knob all the way down will give you unity.

Sounds very familiar, I'm curently on my 2nd EP, and it's the V2. I don't like it as much as I did the V1. Doesn't seem to have that 3D/HI-FI chimeiness to the high end!! I do like the unity gain setting, the lack-of, was the reason for getting rid of the V1.

That doesn't sound like anything I have heard. I don't have both to try it out though.

    Anyone with both?

Does anyone know how the EP compares to the boost side of the SLOStortion?

Yeah, that's why I asked. I have a SLO and was surprised at how much I liked what the boost did for my tone. I've never had a boost before and thought they were only about increasing volume. I'm glad it can be engaged on it's own because it sounds good after my Fuzz Face too.

I like the SLOstortion's boost over my EP. I find the EP boosts the mids a little too much for my taste. Hope Wampler puts out the boost on it's own.

I have the EP v1 and the SLOstortion. The EP imparts more of a vintage vibe and colors your tone. I find the SLOstortion more transparent in the sense that it doesn't alter your EQ as much.

Lots of volume on tap with both. EP is not as bright and slightly fatter in the mids.
