I picked up a used PRS S2 Studio in black. I will post pics once it arrives. I don't really need the guitar, but I've always wanted to try a PRS. The 25 inch scale and pickup combo seem interesting. What is the TGP experience with the S2 Studio, if any?

    Looking forward to your thoughts.
all the S2's I've played so far have been very good guitars, but haven't had a chance to try a studio.

    Congrats!

Those Studios are really cool guitars. There are a few videos of their tonal options and I always think they sound quite good.

Congrats on the purchase. Looking forward to seeing more of it when it comes in.

    And so it begins.

Be warned; your first will probably be far from your last! Seriously great guitars!

Congrats, and Pics when you get it.

That is the one S2 model that I’m pretty interested in.

Or you could have my experience. Bought my first in 1986. It has been my last! It does all I could ask it to do, I don't need another.

I'm afraid I'm not quite the man you believe me to be. I said only that I never bought another PRS. ;)

I bought a S2 Studio in Blue Frost Metallic a few weeks ago and it is just a great guitar. I have a very nice P22 with a 10top and i actually like the unplugged tone of the S2 better. Really love the pickup configuration of the Studio. Great for low to mid gain tones.

It's a really great, versatile design. And while it's not exactly the same, it sadly reminds me of that incredibly great sounding used core Swamp Ash Studio that I played, hesitated, and missed out on buying.

Thanks for all the replies so far. It should arrive next Wed or Thurs. Hopefully Wed. I have a gig on Friday, and I'm just stupid enough to use it for the show.
