    Hey guys,

I just got my '68 Super Reverb. AB763 to be exact. Man what a sweet amp! It's my first reverb vintage Fender.

Question: Do I leave the leather/canvas covering on the reverb tank, or remove it?

    Thanks

    -Joe

It is supposed to be there. The tank, itself, is not attached to the cabinet. It is the bag that is attached to the cabinet.

.... and unpadded reverb tanks tend to feedback.

    Ah cool...Thanks guys!

Man, this thing sounds sooooo good. Now I know what all the fuss is about. It responds great to my Maxon OD9Pro+ as well.

Can't wait til my BB preamp comes.

    Thanks fellas.

I love the BB Preamp through my Silverface much more than TS types. The BB boosting a TS9 sounds pretty sweet too. Enjoy.

    Glad you're digging the super...

...I'd leave the bag on. Not really sure why you are asking this quesion. Did you hear/read somewhere that it was something someone recommended?

    Nonono...

I've just never owned a Fender w/ Reverb unit. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to remove it or not. Stupid me...

But yeah...I love it so far man, just what I expected. It's really not as loud as I thought either. Maybe I'll look into those EVMs.
