    Hey all,

I am super happy because I just snagged a twin reverb for a great price! I found a guy selling a perfect working condition 72' twin reverb for 500 bucks.......The best part is the amp had the factory upgraded speakers....meaning two JBL D-120s !!! This amp sounds great to my ears, and gets beautiful clean tones. Does anyone else have any experience with these early 70's twins? What do you think of the master volume control? Any thoughts in general?

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the master volumns came into play in 75...

You got an excellent deal, even if it is a slightly-later-era Master vol. Twin.
Leave the master volume wide-open and it'll sound great !

The JBL's, alone, are worth 500 bucks ..

What tubes(pre. and pwr.) are in it ?

I have had mine for years, LOVE it and will never sell it. It cuts through everything and woks great with all pedals. It is however too loud for the gigs I do these days, but one day it'll be my go to again.:BEER

I think the master volume first appeared 72-73, so that seems right.
