I had ordered a new Klon from Bill back in April. Received it at work today. It's gold, and looks sharp. I can't wait to take it home and try it through my Carr Rambler.

    I love cool gear!

Did Bill put any graphics on this new version or is it gold with plain lettering?

Ok, Telecaster into KLON into rambler set to TRIODE is one of my favorite guitar sounds ever. (or was it PENTODE???) LOL

It'll only sound good if your Rambler is the right color ... everyone knows black works best with a gold Klon!

I read a post that said a Menatone Red Snapper was what a Klon wanted to be!!
Any truth to that??? I have not played either one so I don't know!!

No. Though I like the drive in the RS better than the drive on the klon.

Is the Red Snapper a Zep inspired pedal?

markom89- If you don't paid for your Klon you are not on the list. Better call Bill.

I have a Rambler and a Tele also (+ others). The Ramble is a Pedal Report Card with a speaker.

I had an friends Klon here for a few weeks. The pedal is all the hype and delivers. It took me a while to dial it. I think it has only one one good sound. The sound that I want. I ordered and paid back in April, I should be getting the call. Bill hates to ship to a residential address. Glad I still have a job.

I also have a Red Snapper here, 4 knob. Clean and great sounding. Does not do the Klon dance.

Dana, how is the Klon working out?

So far I'm very happy with it. However lately I've been playing mostly quiet jazz in restaurants. I need to find a good loud rock gig so I can really hear it perform.

I actually got rid of mine because I had to run my amp too loud even for my "good loud rock gig" before the Klon would do its thing. If I had a smaller amp, I would have kept it, as the sound is quite magical. My problem is that I was peeling the paint off the walls with my particular rig in order to get the Klon to give it up. I'm using what's basically a JTM-45 Plexi. If I had a Carr Rambler or even like Deluxe I think I'd be good to go. Oh well. Great pedal nonetheless, if your set-up will accomodate.

He he. You make that sound like that's a bad thing!
