Just got my first strat!

    Thanks to your reply's in the thread "Is 5 years too old for a Highway One?", I just picked up an '02 Fender Highway One (transparent teal finish), upgraded with a shielded pickguard/pickup cavities, Kinman Woodstock AVn pickups, Graphtech Graphite Saddles, and a Graphtech Graphite nut.

    This is my FIRST strat and I love every note she plays!

    P.S. The camera didn't capture the finish well... The finish is actually more green than pictured (it looks blue in these pics). In fact, the pictures don't have any green at all! But enjoy anyway.

    Very nice set of upgrades too. Stick with that Strat and it might just become your #1 for a long, long time :)

    Congratulations! I remember my first strat well ... I parted with it yesterday after 4 and a half years of fault free service and tone.

    Congrats. I stopped counting strats at around 75, believe it or not! I played every other guitar know to man for the last 30+ years and ALWAYS find my way back to the best & most copied design on the the planet. I LOVE my strats!
