Just recieved a new Fuchs Lucky 7 on friday, what a great little amp. I am just a "jam at home guitarist" and this amp fits the bill perfectly.
Couple of things that set it apart from some low watt amps I have owned in the past (Dr Z Ghia & Univalve).
1. The amp takes to pedals exstreamly well. I've been using a Fulltone Fulldrive II and a custom shop Mini Deja (one of the first issue silver hammond box ones) with it and it is a really pleasing combination. The level knobs on the pedals are very effective at controlling the overall output. You can crank the amp and control the output with the pedals (alot like an attenuator).
2. The overall volume of the amp is manageable, its very toneful at low and high volume. Roll the guitar volume off and it cleans up, very resonsive amp with the guitar volume lowered, retains the dynamic of your playing and does not muffle.
I have not tried a 6V6 in it yet, the EL-34 is sounding very sweet indeed.
I would recommend this amp if you like dirty blackface tone, plexi overdrive, and David Grissom style overdrive. The sound clips at indoor storm are a great representation of the amps clean sound, it has pretty decent headroom for its power rating. I am really happy with this purchase so far, I will add more comments in the future as I become more familliar with the amp.
What a great amp for the money!
