Having this boxed up in the trunk with no guitar or cab is killing me. I won't be home for three more hours. Looking forward to bringing it to the NC BBQ gathering in April. I made it home and plugged in a few guitars and this amp is great. It is probably way more than I needed for my small home office but I hope to get it out on stage sometime. This is my first real Marshall type amp and it does exactly what I had hoped for. I wanted more of the overdriven sound and the Lead 55LV does that very well. I may have to send my wife and kids on a trip so that I can let loose for a while without having my attenuator cranked up. I kept my Alex attenuator on about two to three clicks to keep the volume more manageable and the tones from 12:00 to 3:00 were awesome. The tone controls allow for a wide variety of sounds and I have a long way to go in learning exactly how I want to set the amp. I played two different Hamer Monaco Superpro guitars, one with Dr. Vintage humbuckers and one with Goodwood (Godwood) Humbuckers and I also played a tele. All three sounded great. The bridge pickups on the Hamers gave me the sound I have been wanting. I can't believe I have waited so long to try a Marshall type amp. I wish I could find an old warehouse to use to be able to turn this amp up and play for an extended period of time.
