I must say, this might be the combo of guitar and amp I've waited my whole life for. The PRS custom is just amazing.

I just love the Custom 24 & Standard 24 my favorite PRS's and I'm not a fan of wide thin necks, but these guitars just feel so right.

Haven't tried the Mini Mark V, but love the standard MKV it's the swiss army knife of amps!

Yup, the Cu24 is the gift that keeps on giving. So many great sounds to be had, and a joy to play. I have an older one (with the larger 'standard' neck) I'll never part with, but the newest crop are the best yet IMO.

I've gotten a lot of use from a McCarty & Express 5:25. You should enjoy your new setup!

The ONLY thing I'd like to change, and I wonder if it would be easy, is the pick up selector to a more traditional style 5-way. Anyone ever do that? I'm certain SOMEONE has!

Which pickup selector do you currently have?

    Good stuff.
I miss the old 5 way rotary switched CU24 though.

I have a 02 CU22 that will never leave me. I've been through probably 15 PRS otherwise. McCarties, Customs, 80's vintage stuff...this one is the balls.

My buddy just bought a MKV, I'm dying to try it out.

I have and 1986 and a 2013 Custom 24. Both bad ass. Very different but both have something I like that the other doesn't. Regular/Standard neck carve for me too.

I thought the same thing when I got my first PRS in the early 90's. Didn't take long before I got used to it and really like it now. So many great tones in there. I'm more of a chunky neck guy but the PRS wide thin has just enough meat to make it feel great!

I have the 5 way rotary. I am more a fan of the LP style quick flipper I like to call it LOL.

Give it time, I too didn't care for them at first, but it didn't take long. The new 24's have blade switches, but I still think the coil combo's sounded better with the old rotary switch.

2011 (w/5-way switch) Cu24 and MkV:25 is my setup at home. The only bad sounds are because I suck at guitar. I could be content with that setup for a long time...

...or at least until I work up the courage to take home this LP Supreme that I've been hiding at my office...

I've got a '94 Custom 24 that I bought new. 2 years ago I bought a Mesa Mark V. Honestly, I never really cared for the CU24 until I got the Mesa. Since I got the CU24, I'd been on a nearly 20 year kick on Fender amps with 10" speakers. The PRS doesn't work well with those.

But with the Mark V - oh my. IMHO, Mesa Marks and PRS are a fantastic match. Much like a Strat and a Super, or a Lester and a Marshall.
