Ok, so I've been searching for the right guitar for 5-6 six months now; eBay, stores, online, etc...

I finally found one that pretty much has everything I'm looking for:

    2007 PRS Singlecut Artist Package
    Mahogany body/neck
Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and headstock overlay

Found it on eBay and the only thing it doesn't have that I was looking for were the Phase II locking tuners. I really don't like the Kluson style vintage tuners, but I can deal with them considering the rest of the guitar and I can always change them later on.

Now, I gotta deal with all the internet B.S. and pray it's not a scam. But, the seller has been active recently with positive feedback and other high-end guitars. So, it looks legit.

It's only about half of my budget. So, I think I did pretty well. It's definitly the most expensive guitar I've ever bought (I think...I can't remember how much I paid for my acoustic...but it's close).

But, the good news is now I have money left over to put toward a Diezel VH-4 or Herbert. :)

Yowza!!! I have recently bought some nice gear off of ebay (and sold some as well). For me, it's simple - communication. I ask the seller questions through the ebay "portal". If I don't get a response quickly, I figure they are not on their toes which means they might not be quick enough to ship out for me as well (I'm impatient at best :p).
My last purchase went so amazingly well, I could have sworn the guy was a TGP'er (he's a lurker but not a member). We've exchange many mails outside of ebay's portal and we were in communication from sell date to the day I received the guitar (and after). You definitely have to be careful when buying/selling gear, but all of my experiences have been extremely positive thus far. YMMV...

It has come to my attention that the seller is a graphic designer, photographer, and avid photo editor.

The photos of the guitar have been edited and I have asked the seller to send me unedited versions (It looks like all he edited were the contrast, brightness, color tone, etc... to make the guitar pop more). Not a scam, but still not being entirely honest.

Man, very few PRS's float my boat.

    My boat is now floating.

Congratulations!!! Hopefully your transaction will be smooth and the guitar will be as cool as it looks in the picture!!! Man that's pretty.
