Just saw the Spazmatics in Nashville best cover band period

    Just left the dawg bar in Nashville saw the Spazmatics unbelievable.
    If you get a chance to see them they are awesome.
    Dave from the dr z amp demos was in the band.
    After seeing him I may quit playing out.
    Never seen a more fun, or talented cover band .
    Can't say enough . I will see them again I hope .

    I thought they 100% played to tracks, lip sync, guitar sync, drum sync etc.

    Lol the chills of cover bands is usually more entertaining than most bands. And the dudes are making a killin off it haha

    They were the most entertaining Band I have seen in many years, dave baker is a great guitar player and was a really nice guy.
    Yes there was some stuff canned but they were awesome , would see them again .

    The people who own the name are making the "killing."

    We have an outfit like that around here - the musicians are paid a flat rate, the "owner" gets the rest, and it's a lot more...

    A while ago it broke down sort of like this:

    10-peice band - 2 girls and a guy up front, the girls got $75, the guy maybe $125?

    The other players got around $100.

    Production was around $350.

    The gig was booked for not less than $5K, usually more.

    I saw the LA version back in '07, and have been truly disappointed with every other I have seen since. Not enough raunch, too much nerd.
