Willy's Maxitone 335/339 Japanese Copy

Been eyeing this guy for about a week now. Finally decided to pull the trigger on it today. Total came out to be about $330 (without a case unfortunately). I asked the guys working (including the manager) if they had any information on this guitar and I was getting some blank looks. The most I got was that this is a late 70's guitar there's a good chance it came out of the same factory that manufacture Ibanez, Greco, Burny, Edwards, etc. type guitars. It sounded pretty good and didn't seem like a bad buy so I pulled the trigger. If anyone has any objections, feel free to give it to me as I still have 2 days to return :aok.

Anyone got any more info on this?

Certainly looks worth 300 to me! Have you tried google for any info? Either way, seems like a nice buy if it plays good and in good condition.

Yup, googled on the brand and whatnot. Not much info on this specific guitar. Most of the info on this brand is speculation. Oh well, too late to return anyway ;)

I would say that's a much more recent MIK guitar, based solely on these pix. Not commenting on its quality...but based on things like the parts used and general appearance, I wouldn't call that late 70s MIJ. However, a good, in focus photo of the bridge would help.
