Overall I think it's pretty good compared to older boots I've heard...sure it's far from what Robert's voice used to be and John Bonham isn't there but it sounded pretty good...Not amazing.

Song selection was a high point for me....I loved their choices.

Big question though...I saw lots of pro cameras shooting the show...

Anyone know of plans to release this officially or is it going to be only available on these boots?

Anyone else see a boot?

There were tons of pro cameras there, as well as a full on stage crew getting close up shots.

But dont count on it ever being released. There were a few miscues at crucial points, and I think that would be very hard to edit. And probably for Page, the performance wasnt good enough for him to release it. So, yes -- be happy with the bootleg video because that is most likely all we will see (never say never though).

Still, the single best show I have ever been to.

Yep, there were some miscues like coming out of Dazed and Confused...that was pretty bad and probably the worst I have heard them do live...well I take that back...they did a messed up version of How many more times baxck in 69 that made me laugh on the official release they did a few years ago...

And, you went to it! Wish I could have seen it live...but the boot is great too!

Thanks

Have you ever heard the trainwreck in the middle of Kashmir from the 6/23/77 "For Badgeholders Only" boot? Wow.

I've also just recently seen the O2 boot and I think it's phenominal. I'd heard the audio before but now having seen it I understand all of the incredible reviews the show got. And whoever was behind putting it together really should be applauded for the great job they did. Really gives you the feel of being there.

Where would I find this?

I'd gladly cover expenses 'plus' if anyone had a DVD copy I could get.

Yea, going to that show was one huge expense...but looking back it was well worth it!

Strangely enough, John Bonham made the exact same mistake on coming back into Dazed and Confused aat Kezar Stadium in 1973. Not trying to act like a know it all, but if the guy who had previously played that song probably 400 times made the same mistake once - I guess Jason gets a pass! What sucks is the song kinda died after that mistake. They got back on track quickly, but you could kinda tell they were a little shooken up by the mistake and the song itself suffered for the remainder.

Highlight of the show IMO was the Song Remains the Same right after Stairway. I couldnt dream of a better song to rip right into after the nostulgic Stairway. It was pure greatness. And we were going NUTS I tell you!

I've seen the bootleg vid at a friend's house and enjoyed it quite a bit. We had the same discussion about the possibility of a pro-shot release and came to the same conclusion, plenty of camera footage but probably not going to come out...

I can't see any of the "miscues" at the O2 show being any worse than all the crap that constitutes TSRTS.

I just recently aquired a two dvd set of this show that someone did by editing together the multiple camera angles. Almost as good as a pro-DVD! The audio is really good for an audience recording too.

Wow , mine arrived quick. It's 2 discs. The picture ranges from fair to crap. Shot with a handheld with a zoom from the nosebleed seats. Sound is good. Packaging is very professional. Worth 13 bucks ? sure , why not.

Zeppelin was all about taking chances live, shoot even in the studio. There were miscues
on You Shook Me, but they kept it for LZ I.

There are also miscues on the studio "I Can't Quit You Baby" but it all hangs together nicely.

That's the problem in playing with real people...
