Just won me a 56 NOS Strat on the -Bay

Congrats! It looks great and once you go the CS route you probably won't want any regular production new Fenders anymore.

 

+1 on the CS route! After getting my first Custom Shop Strat ( '60 NOS ) last week I'm a new advocate.........Enjoy!

 

Look if your '56 will have the original Custom '50 pickups, they are different from the '50' 'Custom' sets you can buy..a lot of confusing and changing out here I am affraid.

But even that, for the price you have it, the neck is already worth it!

Congrats, in 2005 I' won from e-bay a 2001 CS 56 in transparent blonde
ash body all original mine come with all goodies and no COA, I' play with a pick and occasionally with my fingers never tried with a........COA.

those guitars are outstanding.

Congrats! I've had my '56 Closet Classic for 5 years. I love the guitar. I've had a few mods done to mine.
