Seriously if I could grab a beer with anyone of those gear demo / lessons guys, Nick would be my first choice, along with Paul Davids and the dude from Casino guitars with the funny hair.
if i was gonna have a beer with a demo guy it would def be Dagan - because you just KNOW he’s holding.... ;)

He always seemed to be an artist first based on his approach and emphasis on creativity. I think he was active in the hip hop/soul/ funk world, always was into out music too. This is one of the toughest times for creatives so I get it. Hope he's well too

I love Nick his vids and one of the few people I love hearing TALK in his vids, just because he has interesting things to say about pedals and is a thought-full guy. I love that he tries to describe the pedals in a very intelligent and intuitive way. Hope all is well. He is quite an unique guy with his style and his style it to be JustNick.

I used to like following Nick but his social media content got too political for me.

I like Nick, he's a cool dude. I even took online lessons from him years ago. I quit following him (and all youtube demo channels) about four or five years ago when I woke up one day and the thought of hearing one more gear demo made me ill. I swear if I heard one more dude do ambient swells I'd commit murder. Anyway, still follow him on IG.

I'm one strike away from getting banned, so this may be it for me....:-(
I'm of the belief that musicians have a responsibility to point out social injustice and political dangers. Otherwise, what are you saying? Look how fast my fingers are? Ohh baby I love your way?
Its been fun GP!
We need more Nick's

Personally, I listen to music, follow artists, etc. to get value out of it, whether it’s entertainment, joy, information, etc. Let’s just say that with Nick I was getting less and less value from him as his content shifted away from guitar gear and music to other topics. Because of that, I unfollowed him across channels.

First off I think Nick is great and I really loved his demos. He's also a very cool dude. Wondering if he's doing ok? I saw his name pop up in a thread and thought to checkout his youtube page to see the latest demos. When I took a look I saw a lot trippy stuff, he seemed to be in that covid funk, playing games, etc... Is he still doing gear demos or just kinda doing his own thing within the music realm? Either way, hope he's well.
I'm totally doing ok and totally appreciate your wondering. I hope YOU are all doing OK too. Got pretty burnt out on gear and guitar related videos and also wanted to find some new musical and artistic ideas. Becca and I are working on various interesting things related to music, poetry, video games, simulation, the future, future lifestyles that involve more indoor time and more connection through simulation, sim racing, and MiG racing. Lucky for us our son is putting any excess music gear to very good use. I knew that it would surprise or even alienate some YT subs, but it made sense to me to use the channel as I always have: to share and connect based on what me and Becca are working on, whether it's pedal demos or some weird new **** we're trying out. Right now we're not really performing/posting much, but that could change at any moment. I do come by and search my name every now and then. :)

So glad to hear from you and that you're doing ok! Right now, staying healthy physically, but especially mentally is so crucial. I had a couple of rough spots in April / May but my guitar and staying off the norm social media outlets have been the key to keeping me ok. I love TGP so reading / learning and playing has been my therapy. Very happy you chimed in and I wish you nothing but success and happiness in any of your endeavors - gear/music related or not. Take care Nick!
