So cool. Love this guy!
The look on the faces of the other performers on stage with him says it all. Ben is really on another plane musically. And one of the things I dig about him is that all those techniques he uses which I sometimes find gimmicky in some other players are all so tastefully done to the service of the essence of the tunes he's playing. He's mesmerizing.
I love that the youtube video is titled "Cashmere"!
and I love how much fun he seems to be having playing music, he's featured on a great episode of No Guitar is Safe that is worth a listen..
Too CooL! WOW!
His covers of Tom Sawyer, Billie Jean, and Hey 19 are great also.
That was REALLY cool! Ahh, the power of Kashmir! That RIFF!
Thanks for sharing.
I actually like this version better than LZs. Yeah, heresy, I know.
I’ve just never been a big fan of the song.
Almost worth watching just for the faces he pulls. Quality bit of playing.
Ben has been a fixture of our local music scene for yrs.
He seems content with such, but i feel that he deserves
a much broader audience. You have to go to where
A small sampling of the Who's Who of acoustic fingerstyle there on stage...
Hate to be one of the others onstage...what can you add to that?!
Wow, just Wow!
Thanks for posting that
I don't generally go in for a lot of plank spanking (or box knocking, I guess, for our acoustic friends.) But, damn, that was great. I don't think I've seen very many other people who are so obviously and clearly enjoying making music. The little grin & sidelong glances at the fretboard were priceless.
not my thing but, loved his joyfulness and dude can play.
This is great. Wow.
