I'm replacing my Budda Wah and have been primarily looking at these Teese wahs (RMC3 & WoF to be exact)... but the truth is I'm just not really a wah guy, I don't use it that often, even though I do have a pretty solid natural flow with them and they do sound good when I use them. But I've been thinking that maybe some kind of auto-wah would actually encourage me to use the sound more and the Nova has really piqued my interest. Could anybody with the Nova tell me how you feel about this? Am I just dazzled by the sound clips or will nothing really replace the natural flow of a treadle wah? I'm guessing I know the answer to that last question already, but I thought I'd put it out there... thanks TGP! :AOK

I had the Yellow yee haa his limited proto run of the nova.
I loved it but sold it for some rediculous amount.
I'm acualy building something simular right now.
I will say though that the Nova is not an auto wah its a fixed wah FWIW.

Ok, thanks. Never actually had an auto-wah so I guess I was just thinking more along the lines of treadle vs footswitch style.

on that note, can anyone recommend a really nice auto-wah to throw into consideration?

hmm i thought the 440 was an envelope filter--or is an auto-wah basically an envelope filter? I figured they were similar but not exactly in the same family. splitting hairs here or are there real differences?

Yeah - an auto wah is an envelope filter. What type of music do you play? That will help to determine the type of wah to purchase.

You should check out the gig-fx Mega Wah.
Has many functions, and I believe there are some great clips here of Galo Rivera using one.
You can use it as an autowah or a normal foot-controlled wah.
Pairing it with a gig-fx Chopper is awesome.
