We didn't have much luck with this question down below so I thought I'd give it a try up here.

Has anyone tried Robert Keeley's pickups? They look well made and is effect line/mods are pretty well respected.

    Any comments?

I've asked around about them before, with little response. I love Robert's pedals, but at that price point it's going to take a while before the Lollar and Fralin market will turn in that direction. Until then, there won't be much feedback.

That's it right there......for that money, I'm getting Fralins every time.

I got a chance to plug into a nice strat (with a clear pickguard so you could see their pickups, awesome) with Keeley pickups at their booth at Winter NAMM this year (forgot which amp, I want to say Vox but I honestly can't remember) and they sounded great. I played both the Modern and Vintage, both sounded amazing. I wouldn't say I'm the worlds best resource for pickup sound, but I know when I picked up that strat I sounded better than I normally do! Not to mention the strat played very well. I've only played Lollars on a tele, and have absolutely loved those too.

I played the same strat at winter NAMM ... I'm a Gibson Guy , But that strat sounded great to me with just a minimum of fiddling with the tone knob ....

i think he's got 'something' there ... Thought the tone was right there with Curt Novak's fender p/u's in my pals Replitars (Novak) .... And everybody raves about those!

Curt makes the best Tele pickups I've ever heard.
