Yeah I saw that but this guitar is a different Maton than the mini Maton that is shown on his site it's a little bigger like the ebg 808 series .....but anyway I just emailed Maton to see what one he's playing there it's probably some sort of custom shop ............

Aliright folks did some research and found out that the guitar in those youtube videos is a new guitar coming out according to the guy that i ordered it from ....it's called the Keith Urban special and i think he said it's basically the ebg 808 with the sunburst color to it or the darker color thats in the youtube vids.....it cost me $2200 if anyone's interested......Love the sound of that guitar in the clips can't imagine how good it will sound once i get the thing in my hands...... I have met him a couple of times and he is also extremely sweet and humble and has one of the most incredible sounding live bands I have ever heard.
Every guy on stage has solo-act talent. (and some are)

Ya know i haven't met him yet but have seen him in concert 4 times including playing in the smaller venues right before he got big and it was just stellar .....I agree his whole band are just great musicians, he has alot of guys playing on a variety of stringed instruments....I got his last new dvd that he came out with and hooked up some bose headphones and wow it sounds so much different than just playing it out of speakers you can here every instrument and every individual part being played in his band.....All excellent musicians.....Including Keith U......

hey bryan, i also emailed maton about his guitar and they told me that its pretty much the EMD-Diesel but a full sized customised EBG808.

did you mention you managed to order it? i'm interested in getting one for myself if they come out with a line of keith urban specials.....cheers david

guitar sounds good but how about how good that kid did. i think keith seemed a little suprised. i know i was.

Hey David yeah ya know I actually ordered the guitar and than they called me back and told me there was a bunch of options that I could get on it so if I ordered it throught the States it was going to be close to 3k or $2800 for the exact specs that Keith Urban is playing and if I did the stripped down version it would of been more like $2400 .. so I decided to go with the the diesel mini maton for now and than I will order that Keith Urban model within 6 months so yeah it's kind of interesting didn't realize he kinda had his own model out until I seen him playing with the bigger bodied Maton but if anyones interested here is what Dearne with Maton guitars sent me over about his guitars and specs.... Oh yeah and on the other comment that kid was great especially doing harmonies at such a young age.....he definately needs to learn guitar as well if he doesn't already..... check out the specs below.....

Keith Urban plays an 'EAJ85' (he has 4 of them), also the 'EMD/6' & 'EMD/12'.
And a customised 'EBG808' with 'vintage amber satin' finish as on the ‘EMD Mini Maton’ (I think this might be the one you’re referring to, specs are below).

Cool, thanks Bryan. I live in Melbourne where the Maton factory is so i might head down there and check it out and also visit some of the official dealers to try and get a price. But im hoping they become popular enough for Maton to come out with a line of them. That way i wont have to custom order it which will take months and cost a fair bit as well.

Hey there dangalangz how's it going ? Yeah let me know how much they are in your country ....I know a couple of people that have ordered them directly from the music store in Australia and had them shipped to the States and I heard it was quite a bit cheaper .......Yeah I think it is a model out called the Keith Urban model there is a few things he changes on the 808 tho but i know what ya mean it would be nice if it was just mass produced like the Tommy Emmanuel guitar and than there wouldnt be such a wait....I think mine was going to take 3 months or so to get but proabably would end up being longer because i heard they were really back logged on there guitars so anyway cool let me know what ya find out when you visit the Maton dealer I am definately going to get one I just figured i will have the mini Maton by the end of this month and have some kind of acoustic to strum on ....right now I'm acousticless but have plenty of electrics.....good luck.....Bryan.
