She talks a lot and she’s funny
I think she has a great voice, is a great live performer, and seems to be a decent and likeable person, and is not some circus oddity like Gaga or Madonna or others who think they live in some special elite dimension apart from normal people. Could you imagine having to spend hours in the presence of Madonna? She's probably worse than Joan Crawford and after exchanging pleasantries, would be tempted to start addressing you as some kind of underling.
Kelly does need to meet up with some top notch songwriters however.
She was on with Jennifer Garner last week & it was like a word battle, they were both chatty Cathys.
Yeah.. I watched that show. Almost passed out
I like Kelly. Great voice! I don’t have any of her music but I have liked some of the songs I’ve heard. I’ve got nothing against pop music and if I like it, well so what. Everything does not have to be some musical or poetic masterpiece for me to enjoy it.
If you guys think this is pop drivel, then I don't know what to say. This song is phenomenal to me, and moves me every time I listen:
Really like, "The Trouble With Love Is"
Since U Been Gone is an unabashed pop thrill, made even better by obviously coping Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Are you sure about that?
She was the first.
I recall some trepidation from critical types that AI would promote some half-talent on the basis for crowd popularity.
I watched the last couple of that first run and it was perfectly clear that Kelly and #2 (whoever?) were absolutely excellent singers and deserved winner status.
Too bad #2 didn't get the same commercial push.
When Kelly contacts me as to where her career should go, her status will rise above Gaga, Beyonce & Madonna. Otherwise, she is twisting in the wind and I won't stop the spinning.
When she contacts me the world will stop spinning.
I always felt like she never quite found the sound to match her talents
Same here. I think she could have been the Adele of America if that makes sense. Maybe it was the decision of her management to pursue that pop princess thing? Seems like they missed the mark.
To have a voice like that...and spend it on @%$$# music
Must be nice to sing like that. She's probably willing to sing nearly anything for another dollar. Watching her new TV show too?
She's pretty, she's famous, she's rich and she has talent.
Yeah, I don't like her.
She's a pop singer with a great voice. Sinatra was pop singer with a great voice. Tom Jones is a pop singer (mostly) with a great voice. Karen Carpenter, etc. The pop charts have always had pop singers that were great vocalists, at least up thru 2000.
So what exactly are the rules about slamming other musicians? Pop stars don't count? Or if enough people agree, fair game? Or maybe the rules are just guidelines?
Great voice and some good tunes.
