Well, I am pretty certain they were there to promote their product and company. NAMM is a musical industry trade show, as you know. While many companies will reveal new models, and new products at the event...it is not a prerequisite for attending, and flying the flag, so to speak.

They have their product line to promote - that's why they're there...

Heh, THAT is the NAMM I remember! I attended a private party thrown by Godin Guitars back in the early nineties, and spend the better part of an hour downing Heinekens and talking guitars with Robert Godin himself.

So? Or are you suggesting that five year-old products don't benefit from promotion? Or that maybe Kemper isn't interested in new sales channels, or just hanging out with fellow MI folks? :dunno

Kemper really should have consulted TGP before they dare to go to a NAMM!

I have no horse in this race.

Kemper’s are cool, but guitar is only my second instrument, and retirement is looming. I just don’t have the budget to dabble in high-end hardware any more.

That said, these pissing matches on TGP always remind of something, and I can’t quite put my finger on it...

    ...right, that’s it!

Some serious upgrades to the reverbs and the stomp boxes (more so the OD's and Distortion) would be GREATLY appreciated as well. Love to see a profile of a Klon and some "D" Style OD pedals.

I don't frequent TGP much anymore, but this thread just reminded me to sell / trade my (original) Carr Mercury amp for a nice Kemper. It's easily one of my favorite amps ever, but I have 2 and a Kemper in the mix would be a great addition for the P&W stuff I do.

So, Christoph and Kemper showing up to NAMM is, in fact, good for business I guess since it (re)motivated me to become a customer... LOL

I thinking of selling both my amps off, even my holy grail xiTs X4 serial #001, because I’d rather have another nice guitar than amps sitting unused around collecting dust.

I still have my Mesa Mark V and Mesa TA-30 amps. Even though I rarely play them anymore, it's cool to just jam on them once in a while :).
