No way. They're competing against themselves at that point, since a toaster is the same price, works with any MIDI controller, and they both can be found used. They need to come in at $1500 or less.

Probably if you hold down the button, it goes to profiler mode. That’s why that line is drawn out from that button to the word “Profiler.”

Input is likely shared with another input somehow to save space.

Kemper is profiling. No way they don’t have that capability on a new flagship release.

$1799 puts this unit as $300 less than a head and controller while doing the same thing (presumably).

A midi controller can’t do half the stuff the footswitch can. There should be no expectation that they care about being cheaper than the used market. Used is used.

If youre going to compare Kemper vs Kemper, compare it against the price of Kemper + remote, not some used 3rd party cheap device

I would assume the majority of Kemper owners and users do not use the profiling function. When I see so many bands using 4 of them on tour, and several gigging players in Nashville finding the profile they want online with their favorite dream amp, I think to a lot of people, Profiler means reading profiles, not so much creating them (even though that is the proper definition). Modeling to me means, modeling an amp from scratch. To me, Profiler = hi-res photo, modeler = highly detailed drawing

As a company, you can't ignore the used market anymore, now that it's so easy to sell worldwide online. Doing otherwise is just naive.

If it does not profile, why would it be the same price as the head?

Skewing variables to establish an argument is invalid

Wrong. Those are variables they need to concerned with. Thinking otherwise is ignorant.

So in the launch video they released, it says “Profiling”. What does that mean then?

    The name is Profiler Stage.

    It profiles lol

Every auto manufacturer competes with a huge used market. Do you think they sit in the corporate office and look at used car prices to determine the price of a new car? Get real. The new Kemper is not going to be inexpensive compared to the retail price of a new rack/toaster or the used market.

Been like that for a while now, almost everyone I know that has the capability runs two amps at once. Lots of people run two Kempers to run stereo effects into the front, I did that for a period but didn't like carrying two toasters among other reasons. It's not about it being a deal breaker, it's about being able to do what every other flagship product can do in the space. This was a cool chance for them to release a V2 Kemper with more DSP so that you could run two amps, and also not have silly things like spillover stop working if you have a certain combo of effects because of DSP limitations.
