Well, it's not a conventional set of Strat pickups. He uses Dimarzio Cruisers in the neck and bridge and the stock middle pickup that came with his Strat in middle. Not sure on the other stuff

Fabulous band. Their new one Mordecai is on double heavy rotation here.
Headed to LA to see them in Nov.

I’m a fan.

I recently stumbled across Khruangbin ... I liked what I heard ... listen to this one, and check out the comments on this vid ... they are worth a chuckle. To quote Monk "You will thank me later" LOL

They are great live and his tone was amazing live. We have tickets to see them outdoors either Big Daddy Kane in October if I can bring myself to be in a crowd.

There’s a cool rig review with the guitarist that I recommend checking out, too. He’s very simplistic in his approach, and it’s always interesting to hear great musicians talk about gear while not obsessing over the accumulation of it.

How does he manage to get his tone sounding so wet, clean, tight, clipped and slippery? …Not technical terms.

Aside from his Strat (and presumably dialling the reverb up to 10), what pedals and effects is he using?

Leaves way on all the time.
