String cheese Incident in July, three hour drive to Red Rocks from my house, whole family going, even grandkids, so we will probably do a big family camp that weekend.
I have wanted to watch Kang up close for a long time. He is one amazing instrumentalist and I love his tone. The whole band is really tight.

You guys are going to love it, one of my all time favorite places to see live music. At the very top of the venue there is a museum and restaurant - we like to get there early and have a bite before a show.

I have seen seven or eight shows there... There is no concert venue like RR IMHO. Enjoy and make sure to take it all in.

My two daughters are pretty cool little hippie chicks with lots of friends living in the Denver area, they attend a bunch of shows in the area but none of us have been to Red Rocks before.

If I was in a successful band that played there, there would be a rider in the contract for "U2 torches" that must be lit during our performance!

Great venue. Moved here a few years ago (about 8 miles from it)... I know about this area from seeing the dead pay here in the seventies and eighties.

Saw the Dead there in the early eighties as well. Awesome place. It started raining and the band broke into Cold Rain and Snow. The crowd went nuts.

It's a great place, even if you aren't seeing a show! I used to go there and just hang out. It's a beautiful place. My high school graduation was there. It was awesome as I'm a huge U2 fan and had already seen a few shows there. Congratulations on the gift and the family that got it for you armadillo!

not sure that String Cheese is the best place to bring grand kids but I suppose that's your call... that crowd is known for loving their H and having a pretty big hepatitis problem.

As I recall they cranks Phil's bass up and it parted the clouds so the rain went away. Of course it was a dead show, so that may not have really happened.

Another view from the stage, without the crowd.
